Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 FAQ
LMS2 is single-player — Skyhook's pinned FAQ currently has no multiplayer plans (not ruled out later). PS5, Xbox Series and Steam Deck are supported; the store lists Save Anytime.
Is Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 multiplayer?
No — and Skyhook is not currently planning it. The store page lists the game as single-player. The developer's pinned General FAQ (posted at launch) is the official line: "Currently, we do not have plans to introduce a multiplayer mode but that doesn’t mean we are ruling it out for the future."
A pre-launch community reply that said "online but not at launch" is not the developer position. Treat that as outdated.
Can you save and quit during a job?
The store page advertises Save Anytime, which is the answer to the first game's "finish the whole lawn or lose the session" complaint.
PC save files live here (Skyhook's Technical FAQ, 23 Sep 2026):
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\LocalLow\Skyhook Games\LMS2
That folder is hidden by default. The *.json files are the save; steam_autocloud.vdf is the Steam Cloud copy. The store also lists Steam Cloud.
Does it come to PS5, Xbox Series and Steam Deck?
Yes. Same-day launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S (announced 1 Sep 2026). Skyhook's Technical FAQ also lists Steam Deck as a supported platform, plus Xbox Play Anywhere on the Series version. PS4, Xbox One and Switch have not been announced.
An Xbox-only update is already live (developer daan_hugo, 24 Sep 2026). PC and PlayStation were not named in that reply.
How much does it cost?
As of 24 Sep 2026, with no introductory discount on the public store price:
| Store | Price |
|---|---|
| Steam US | $29.99 |
| Steam EU (DE) | 24,99€ |
| Steam UK | £21.99 |
A few owners of the first game reported seeing 10% off at checkout. That's a player report, not a listed launch sale.
Will it be on Xbox Game Pass?
No announcement. Don't plan around it.
Is there steering wheel support?
Not at launch, and not currently planned. The store confirms full controller support (gamepad recommended, DualShock/DualSense listed). Skyhook's pinned FAQ: native wheel support is not in the plan because LMS1 data showed relatively little use; they say they would rather spend that time on features everyone can use. Not ruled out later.
Can I mod it?
Not supported. Official FAQ: no Steam Workshop, no modding support at the moment, currently no plans. They add that this does not mean it is "completely ruled out or even impossible."
Why does it ask for broadband if it's single-player?
Still unanswered. The Technical FAQ repeats Broadband Internet connection in both Minimum and Recommended PC specs. No official note on whether the campaign runs fully offline.
Are there time limits on lawns?
The store lists Playable without Timed Input. Developer daan_hugo (17 Jun 2026, still the last official word on this) said contract success in LMS2 does not depend on time, with an optional system for players who want a challenge. The optional system's exact launch-build rules are not written up yet.
Launch-week issues — what's official?
Skyhook pinned Launch Snags on 23 Sep 2026: they know about performance/technical issues, they are compiling reports, and they are aiming for a patch as soon as they can. The only shipped update named so far is the Xbox one (24 Sep). Known-issues list on their site is still "LINK TBD".
Bug reports go through Skyhook's feedback page (linked from their Technical FAQ) — they say a person reads every submission, in English, and they aim to reply within a few business days.
Player reports (not developer-confirmed): a career can soft-lock if a trimmer and blower are already hanging on the shop rack before you are asked to buy them — several players unstuck it by starting a new career without those tools pre-placed. Another cluster is black screens after naming the company / customising the character.
