Where the demo came from
The demo launched June 15, 2026 as part of Steam Next Fest — the first time the leaf-blowing gameplay was playable anywhere (you blow thousands of leaves into a tarp to leave the plot spotless). It has been patched since (Update 3 was live in the community hub before launch), so download fresh rather than trusting an old install.
Does demo progress carry over?
Not announced. Nothing on the store page or in the discussions confirms carry-over, and demos in this genre rarely transfer progression anyway. Play the demo to learn the controls, not to get a head start.
Should you wait for reviews?
The demo is still the cheapest way to test the loop. Launch-week Steam reviews sat at Mixed (38–42 reviews, about 47–52% positive depending on the endpoint, 24 Sep 2026) — that's a snapshot, not a verdict, and Skyhook has already acknowledged technical issues. The things the demo can't tell you (career pacing, economy balance, contract variety across 11 locations) only exist in the release build.
